What We Do
Founded in 2003, Bethany Care Foundation engages the community in support of Bethany Care Society. As a not-for-profit provider of care for some of Alberta’s most vulnerable people, Bethany relies on donor support to provide innovative, meaningful daily programs and create comfortable, home-like spaces for seniors and adults living with complex care concerns.
Aging touches us all. With support from incredible donors like you, Bethany can provide more quality-of-life enhancing touches that help create purpose and fun in residents’ days. Your donation to support Bethany’s greatest needs, music therapy, spiritual care or the community that is closest to your heart is an investment in resident quality of life and a priceless gift.
How We Help Create Caring Communities
Innovations in Care at Bethany
Bethany continues to reimagine and deliver the future of care. Donor support helps Bethany innovate and advance programming, purchase technology that supports care and invest in employee development to attract and retain the finest professionals.
Meaningful Daily Programming
Having access to daily programming, including music and art therapy and spiritual care, supports residents’ mental, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing. Each program honours our residents unique selves and gives them tools to express themselves. Residents often share that these programs are their favourite part of the day.
Home-like Furnishings and Equipment
Creating spaces for residents that look and feel like home provides the room and furnishings for them to enjoy social activities and programs. Additionally, items like lifts, specialized bathtubs and linen warmers help enhance care and quality of life for our residents.
COVID-19 Update at Bethany
Long-term care continues to be affected by the pandemic. Residents’ daily life is impacted by continued public health orders, and our seniors are weary. More than most people, their mental health and resilience has been tested. Gifts given through the Foundation, help them now and beyond the pandemic.
